A “Last night of the Proms” Concert concluding with audience participation in the standard patriotic songs and much flag-waving. Jerusalem, Rule Britannia, Land of Hope and Glory, led by “Britannia” – Deb Henderson, who played a similar role at the opening of KC Stadium.
Other soloists are Kate Sweeting (of “Look North” fame) and our own Glyn Cohen.
All proceeds from ticket sales will to go to St Michael’s fabric fund. Tickets will be for sale at £8 from mid-February at the village shop. They will also be available at the door.
Songs include ” The Humber Bridge” – our token gesture towards Hull’s City of Culture year, “A Yorkshire Mixture” and many others.
Hear us sing in French and Nelson Mandella’s “Xhosa” – all with a Yorkshire accent!
Parking in the school playground. Note that the location of the church on the Google map is wrong. It is on Main St and an easy walk from the school.
There are male, female and disabled toilets.
