Joint Concert with Mansfield Male Voice Choir

02/06/2017 - 19:30

Toll Gavel Church, Beverley

A joint Concert in Toll Gavel Church with the Mansfield and District Male Voice Choir for our President’s charity, Hornsea Inshore Rescue.

Beverley Town Council have kindly obliged the choir with a generous grant to cover expenses for the concert, as a result of which all proceeds from ticket and souvenir programme sales will be presented to the charity.  As well as ensuring that people remain safe in the sea around Hornsea, HIR are also part of the East Yorkshire Flood Response Team, so that local people have every motivation to come along and support them by buying tickets and programmes!

We are delighted that The ERYC Chairman  Cllr Caroline Fox will attend the concert, as will Beverley’s new Mayor, Cllr Ann Willis with her consort, Mr Michael Willis and Hornsea’s new mayor Cllr Ann Padgett and her consort, Andrew Eastwood.  Andrew also happens to be the Beverley Choir’s President as well as being the sponsor for this concert! The Choirs will open the concert by singing jointly our usual opening song “Let all Men Sing” as well as the beautiful Lennon and McCartney ballad “Yesterday.”

Tickets cost £8 and are available  from Beverley Tourist Information Centre. They can also be obtained by telephoning Beverley TIC, 01482 391672.  A £1 charge will be added to your card and tickets will be posted to you!  They can also be obtained from the Crafty Coffee shop, 140 Newbegin, Hornsea.  They will be on sale on the door, though we would strongly recommend the above alternatives.
